An internationally renowned performer and teacher, kanjira virtuoso Ganesh Kumar was the first percussionist from South India to receive the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship Award in performing arts. Ganesh has performed with many legendary musicians from Carnatic Music, and was instrumental in introducing the Kanjira to western audience through his performances and recordings with influential jazz musicians.
