The Cooperman Pandeiro is inspired by the traditional Brazilian style drum, played gymnastically with the finger pads and hand heel. Our turned shell is 10 ” diameter,1 5/8″ high, with a precision cut bearing edge. Each of the 6 sets of embossed and cupped jingles are dampened with a flat jingle to reduce sustain and create the traditional pandeiro’s dry, articulated jingle sound.

We recommend a Remo® Renaissance drumhead for a more modern, full pitch, tambourine tonal range or a Remo® Black Suede head to emphasize a mid-range and pitch blending.

Cooperman drums are crafted in small batches. Except for the instruments featured in our "Drums Available to Ship Now" section, it may take up to 4 weeks to build your drum from log to finished instrument.
