Processional Tambourine

In honor of Layne Redmond's induction into the Percussive Arts Society's Hall of Fame (2021), Cooperman created a fusion tambourine/riq. Designed especially for processional drumming, this light weight tambourine combines a powerful jingle wash with a cutting, riq-style articulation.

• 11" diameter x 2.5" depth.
• Single-ply steam bent Vermont Ash wood.
• Musical instrument grade clear lacquer finish, Ash wood stained dark brown.
• Non-tunable.
• Goatskin drum head.
• long, rectangular grip.
• long, open jingle slots with a total of 9 pair German silver hand hammered tambourine jingles, and two pair of larger, hand hammered brass riq jingles.
