Velez Handance Ghaval
Velez Handance Ghaval
The Glen Velez Series Handance Tars are designed specifically for Velez's Handance Method -
A unique method for hand drumming and personal rhythmic development from Glen Velez, the world's leading frame drummer. Handance is more than learning how to play hand drums: it's a holistic method for integrating rhythmical "visualization" concepts with physical timekeeping and drumming techniques. The unique "stepping," singing and drumming exercises build personal drumming confidence and develop a solid rhythmic inner awareness.
The Handance Ghaval model is embellished with row of heavy brass rings and pellet bells which allow for both deliberate shaking sounds and light jingle sounds. Like our Classic Ghavals, these drums are inspired examples widely found in Iran, Turkey, China, Azerbaijan, and Afghanistan,
Handance models are lightweight, expertly crafted, and designed for use in any musical setting. They can be tuned to a range of pitches, while the synthetic head insures maximum resonance in any climate. Handance drums are shallower than standard Cooperman models.
