Velez Series Bodhran

The enhanced features of the Velez tars and bendirs are united with traditional features of the Celtic "bodhran" drum to create the Glen Velez bass-range frame drum. These drums have a remarkably powerful voice and exemplify Glen's renown approach to world percussion.  A single, removable t-shaped crossbar allows for pitch blending from inside the drum, and also facilitates the haunting drone/finger drag sounds that Glen uses to work with his overtone singing.

• 20" diameter x 4 3/4" depth, single-ply steambent Vermont Cherry wood.
• Thumbhhole.
• Single removable crossbar uses the same wrench as the tuning system.
• Decorative inlay on clear lacquer finish
  
• Black cording.
• Recommended REMO Renaissance drumhead.
• roll-stop bumpers help stabilize the drum on stage
